About the Role
Join Altus Hospice as a Per Diem Hospice Aide (CNA) and make a meaningful impact by providing hands-on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. Work closely with our nursing team to ensure each patient’s physical, emotional, and personal needs are met with respect, empathy, and professionalism.
Coverage area includes Marble Falls, Horseshoe Bay, Kingsland, Llano, Burnet, Bertram, Lampasas, and Johnson City.

Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care by following the plan of care to ensure patient comfort and well-being, attending promptly to patient and family/caregiver requests with compassion.
- Assist with personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding and clothing, and shampooing, to enhance patient comfort and dignity.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to ensure optimal patient satisfaction.
- Support families by sharing knowledge and expertise, guiding them in caring for their terminally ill loved ones.
- Maintain accurate documentation to meet high-quality care standards in the patient’s home, agency, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Current unencumbered C.N.A. certification in the state of employment.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience as a C.N.A. in an acute care or long-term care setting (hospice experience a plus).
- Current CPR certification if state-mandated.
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

Pay
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour (average pay range). Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and the specific responsibilities of the position.
