CNA - Hospice - FT

About the role

Join our dedicated team of caregivers as a Nursing Assistant in an inpatient setting. Provide compassionate, hands-on care that supports patients and families during one of life's most important journeys. Build lasting relationships with patients and become a valued part of their care experience. Work alongside experienced nurses, social workers, chaplains, and physicians in a collaborative environment where every team member's contribution is valued and respected.

Schedule

• Full time, 40 hours per week
• Primarily 8-hour evening shifts during the week
• 12-hour day shifts every third weekend
• Every other holiday rotation

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while supporting emotional and spiritual needs
• Record vital statistics, blood glucose levels, and other basic health information
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare
• Prepare and clean patient treatment areas, living areas, and medical equipment
• Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy

Qualifications

• High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred
• Obtains and subsequently maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications
• If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or a maximum of four months from the date of initial employment
• If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aid Registry with current work eligibility

Pay

Salary range: $17 - $24 per hour
