Pay

$19 – $22 hourly.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to personal and supportive care techniques such as ambulation, transferring, assisting with range-of-motion and positioning, and household chores.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals; assists with feeding as assigned.
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents any changes in patient’s status; if unable to perform a task, reports to the primary nurse.
• Follows specific written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse in accordance with the plan of care; written instructions must be received prior to delivering services.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant per state requirements.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.
