CNA Hospice Aide

Pay

$19–$22 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients, applying safety principles and proper body mechanics.
• Assists with ambulation, transferring, range of motion, positioning, and household chores.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals; assists with feeding as assigned.
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents any changes in patient’s status.
• Reports inability to perform tasks to the primary nurse.
• Follows specific written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse in accordance with the plan of care.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant (CNA) as per state requirements.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.
• Must have a Pennsylvania CNA license.
