CNA Hospice Aide

Amedisys hospice aide covering the West Allis, Greendale, Greenfield, South Milwaukee, and Cudahy territory. Full-time day shift.

Pay

$19.00–$21.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics for ambulation, transferring, range-of-motion exercises, and household tasks
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals; assists with feeding as assigned
• Performs homemaking and environmental services
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient status
• Reports inability to perform any task to the primary nurse
• Follows written care instructions prepared by a registered nurse in accordance with the plan of care
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist
• Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant
• CNA experience within the last two years
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance
