Responsibilities

Provides personal care services to patients, applies safety principles, and performs supportive care tasks such as:

• Ambulating clients
• Transferring clients
• Assisting with the normal range of motion and positioning
• Doing household chores
• Observing, reporting, and documenting any changes in patient’s status
• Assisting patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist
• Performing and recording simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant as per state certification/registration requirements
• CNA experience within the last two years
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance
