About the role
Baptist Home Health Care by BAYADA is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide to join the team in North Jacksonville/West Jacksonville, FL. The office serves adult and geriatric clients on a per‑visit basis. This is a visiting position requiring reliable transportation to travel between homes, seeing 5‑6 patients during the daytime. Candidates must hold a Florida CNA license or Home Health Aide Certificate. The role is part‑time and aligns with BAYADA’s special purpose of helping people of all ages enjoy a safe home life with comfort, independence, and dignity, delivering the highest quality home health care with compassion, excellence, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Activities of daily living
- Light housekeeping
- Bathing
- Grooming
- Toileting
- Nail care
- Range of motion / exercises
- Transfers / use of mechanical lifting devices
- Oral feeding
- Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration
- Home Management Tasks: laundry, meal preparation, bed making, etc.
- Assisting with ambulation
- Medication assistance
Requirements
- At least one year of work experience
- Active and in good standing on the Florida Nurse Aide Registry
- Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English
- Pass the BAYADA Competency Evaluation Examination
- Completed criminal background check
- Meet all state requirements for CNA/HHA
- Reliable transportation for home‑to‑home travel
- Florida CNA license or Home Health Aide Certificate
