CNA Home Health Aide (DAY SHIFT)

About the role

Masonicare Home Health & Hospice in Shelton is seeking a CNA Home Health Aide to provide in‑home care for clients. This position will provide care in homes, apartments, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, etc., as assigned. The role offers a $500 sign‑on bonus, 30 hours per week on day shift, and requires reliable transportation and flexible daytime availability.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care activities: bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, hair/skin care, and feeding.
• Remind clients to take medication as needed.
• Assist with exercises, ambulation, and transfer activities.
• Perform household services essential to a clean, safe, and healthy environment, including meal preparation, laundry, and housekeeping.
• Provide basic emotional and psychological support to clients and household members.
• Accompany clients to physician, clinic, or other appointments.
• Accompany patient on walks and to social functions.
• Observe changes in clients’ abilities and/or needs for safety issues and notify the agency as appropriate.
• Document care/activities provided per agency policy.

Requirements

• CNA certification and license.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Proof of auto insurance.
• Previous caregiving experience strongly preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and flexible daytime availability.

Schedule

30 hours per week, day shift.
