About the role
The Certified Nursing Assistant performs duties necessary to provide the best in patient care, but not to the extent requiring service and judgment of a registered or licensed nurse. This individual provides and maintains a clean, safe, and quiet environment in support of patient comfort and contentment. The CNA promotes the practice of family-centered care and provides supportive care to patients in all units with adequate supervision and cross-training. The CNA works cooperatively with the medical staff and other hospital staff who support the care of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide and maintain a clean, safe, and quiet environment for patient comfort.
- Deliver supportive care to patients across all units with adequate supervision.
- Participate in performance improvement activities.
- Collaborate with medical and hospital staff to support patient care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institute.
- Completed course of instruction from an acceptable training school or equivalent training.
- One year of experience preferred.
- Current CNA certification in the applicable state.
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certified.
