Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify residents before providing care or treatments using wristbands or photo cards.
- Report all changes in resident condition, incidents, or accidents to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse promptly.
- Record resident care, observations, and activities accurately on charts and flow sheets.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information.
- Absorb residents with daily personal care needs including bathing, grooming, dressing, dental care, and toileting.
- Ensure residents who are unable to call for help are checked frequently and that call lights are answered promptly.
- Absorb residents with mobility including lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents.
- Provide restorative and rehabilitative care as instructed.
- Maintain clean and organized resident rooms and ensure comfort and dignity of residents at all times.
- Observe and report signs of pressure injuries or skin breakdowns immediately.
- Assist with meal service—help residents with food identification, feeding, and recording intake.
- Follow all infection control and safety procedures.
- Support residents emotionally and create a warm, friendly, and calm environment.
- Report all allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property immediately.
- Uphold residents’ rights, including their right to refuse treatment, and report such refusals appropriately.
Qualifications
- Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
- Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state laws.
- Current CPR certification preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Caregiver must be compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing quality resident care.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift/move up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents in emergencies.

- Full-Time Position
- Starting at $18/hour (depending on experience)
