About the Role
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides high-quality, compassionate, and efficient patient care under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing staff. In alignment with Oregon’s updated 2025 CNA certification standards, the CNA performs a comprehensive range of clinical, clerical, and support functions that promote patient health, safety, and dignity. All CNA tasks are carried out under the direction of a Registered Nurse, who provides guidance and oversight to ensure safe and appropriate care delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with daily living activities
- Collecting objective data
- Supporting therapeutic interventions
- Maintaining accurate documentation
- Coordinating unit activities
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and organized environment
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively
- Able to work collaboratively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Strong understanding of cultural sensitivity and developmental stages of care
- Proficiency in basic computer use and electronic documentation
- Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail
- Demonstrates reliability, professionalism, and punctuality
Education, Certifications, Licenses, and Degrees
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current, valid Oregon CNA certification (per the 2025 unified certification requirements)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Qualifications
- Previous CNA experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, observational, and communication skills required
Pay
Minimum $19.36 USD – Maximum $28.74 USD (This represents the rate for an individual with significant experience in this job)
Schedule
Full time, 72 hours per pay period, night shift (12-36)
