CNA-Field PRN Weekends

About the role

Hospice of Marion County, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a caring and motivated CNA Field to work with us in Marion County while providing exceptional care.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts
• 8am to 8p on Saturday and Sunday
• PRN

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical care to patients, including bathing, changing linens, feeding, assisting with ambulation and transfers, and supporting range-of-motion exercises and positioning.
• Reinforce dressings as needed and adhere to infection control procedures and Standard Precautions against Bloodborne Pathogens.
• Perform light housekeeping duties in patient areas, including laundry, trash disposal, meal preparation, dishwashing, cleaning, disinfecting equipment, and replenishing supplies.
• Collaborate with other Hospice team members to educate primary caregivers and families regarding physical care, disease processes, and emotional support for patients.

Requirements

• Experience: Six months of experience as a CNA in a hospital or long-term care skilled nursing facility preferred. A letter of recommendation from an instructor may be requested for candidates with no prior job experience.
• Licensure: Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License). Valid Florida State Driver’s License. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA).
