About the role

Suncoast Hospice, a part of Empath Health, is seeking a caring and motivated CNA Field to work in North Hillsborough County with the following schedule: Mon-Fri 8a-5p.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care and tasks related to the activities of daily living.
• Responds sensitively to patient/family needs by observing and reporting any changes, including physical, spiritual, social and emotional, to a registered nurse.
• Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, provides personal and basic medical care services within the plan of care for patients within the CNA scope of practice and to enhance patient and family comfort.

Requirements

• Experience: One to three months and/or training preferred.
• Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
• Valid Florida State Driver’s License.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.

Skills

• Caring and compassionate personality.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.
