About the role
As a CNA/CMA, you will assist residents with daily living activities, provide emotional support and companionship, conduct routine health monitoring, facilitate resident participation in recreational and therapeutic activities, ensure a clean and safe environment, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and passing medications.
- Provide emotional support and foster a positive environment.
- Conduct routine health monitoring, including checking vital signs and administering medications.
- Facilitate resident participation in recreational and therapeutic activities.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have an active CNA license in the state of Iowa, CMA preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in LTC preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
