CNA/CMA Adolescent/Young Adult Complex Medical (All-Shifts)

Join our compassionate team in our Inpatient Complex Medical program, where we provide around-the-clock care in a warm, family-centered environment. We support individuals aged 15-30 who are unable to live at home due to their complex medical needs, helping each individual thrive in a safe and caring setting. ChildServe partners with families to help children with special healthcare needs live a great life. ChildServe is a leading pediatric healthcare provider with Iowa’s only children's specialty hospital, offering a variety of services and programs to meet each child’s unique needs. ChildServe’s four key specialty areas include: complex medical care, pediatric rehabilitation, autism and behavioral health, and community-based services. With a coordinated approach to care delivery, services are interwoven and streamlined, so families can address their child’s needs in one location. Established in 1928, ChildServe proudly provides more than 30 pediatric specialty services to nearly 6,000 children in Iowa each year.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily care routines including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility while honoring each child’s privacy and dignity.
• Follow individualized care plans and collaborate with nurses and therapists to ensure each child’s unique needs are met.
• Help children look and feel their best by maintaining cleanliness, comfort, and readiness for scheduled activities.
• Support families by sharing updates and reinforcing care techniques that promote each child’s progress and well-being.
• Accurately document care provided and maintain compliance with ChildServe policies and professional standards.

Requirements

• Active DIA certification as a nursing assistant in the state of Iowa.
• Active BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Schedule

• Full-Time Days - 3 shifts per week, 6:00am-6:00pm, every 3rd weekend
• Part-Time Days - 2 shifts per week, 6:00am-6:00pm, every 6th weekend
• Full-Time Nights - 3 shifts per week, 6:00pm-6:00am, every 3rd weekend
