Department: Nursing • Shift: Day • Working Hours: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM • 72 hours bi-weekly

About the role

Assists with resident/patient care needs and comforts including but not limited to: oral hygiene, bathing functions, nail care, shaving, and hair care. Ensures bowel and bladder needs are met per standards of care. Performs activities to assist with residents' nutritional needs. Assists with the residents' activity needs as assigned, including ambulation, moving, lifting, and positioning.

Responsibilities

  • Follow infection control standards, policies, and procedures
  • Treat all residents, visitors, and employees with courtesy
  • Accept and organize assignments as delegated by the LPN/RN
  • Exhibit knowledge of Resident Rights and report resident concerns/complaints to LPN/RN
  • Ensure residents' needs are met upon request
  • Consistently perform CNA skills, such as vital signs, foley care, specimen collection, and use of lifts and equipment
  • Acquire and maintain current knowledge and competency in CNA practice
  • Meet attendance policy and enhance team effectiveness through dependability
  • Problem-solve, prioritize, and demonstrate initiative as needed

Requirements

  • Current Arkansas CNA certification is required
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred, or a certificate in Nursing Assistant
  • Long Term Care experience preferred
  • Must be able to appropriately communicate, speak, and write
  • Generates enthusiasm, dedication, and enjoys working with elderly adults
