About the role
The position is for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Essentia Living Center, part of Essentia Health's long-term care facility in Fosston, Minnesota. The CNA works every other Saturday and Sunday, with a weekend differential.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct care to skilled nursing facility residents
- Serves the needs of residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort
- Recognizes and deals with the problems of the aging process
- Reports changes in resident condition to shift nurse promptly
- Maintains a safe, clean, attractive, and neat environment for the residents
- Awareness of and prevention of the abuse of vulnerable adults
- Strives to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner
- Identifies safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective actions
Qualifications
- No educational requirements
- Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry or obtain within 4 months of hire/transfer date
- If transitioning from the Nursing Assistant – Student position, must have registration upon hire/transfer
