Community Aide
This CNA position provides essential, hands-on care to clients in their homes to help them remain safe, healthy, and independent. Their responsibilities typically include:
- Assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Helping with basic household tasks, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in a client’s condition to nurses or supervisors.
- Supporting comfort and safety.
- Offering companionship.
Their role is vital in allowing clients—often older adults or individuals with chronic conditions—to remain in a familiar, supportive home environment.

Pay Rate
- CNA - $18.15+/hour
- HHA - $20.50+/hour
Bonuses
- CNA - $1,000
To be paid in two increments at 6 months and 1 year of employment - HHA - $1,500

Qualifications
- Required:
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Kansas
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Basic knowledge of infection control, safety practices, and patient rights
- Ability to observe, document, and report changes in a client’s condition to nursing staff or supervisors
- Compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered approach to care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in clients’ homes while following care plans
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to clients’ homes
- Ability to pass background checks, health screenings, and required trainings
- Preferred:
- Previous experience working with older adults, individuals with chronic illness, or those with mobility or cognitive impairments
- Home health, hospice, palliative care, or PACE program experience
- Experience assisting with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Familiarity with interdisciplinary care teams and community-based healthcare models
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Demonstrated ability to provide emotional support and companionship to clients
