CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)

About the Role

Provide fundamental care for residents with impaired ability to perform at an independent level due to disease process, under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Responsibilities

• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Handle difficult residents with patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
• Seek out and incorporate new methods and principles into existing nursing practices.
• Relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
• Ensure actions do not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.

Requirements

• Must possess a certificate for Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Must be a licensed CNA in accordance with state laws.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
