About the role
The role supports patients/residents with activities of daily living, assists with personal hygiene, vital signs, feeding, ambulation, room maintenance, observing and reporting changes, and performing clerical duties.
Responsibilities
- Safely transports patients/residents using appropriate equipment.
- Administers 12-Lead Electrocardiogram tests and routine venipunctures as needed.
- Maintains patient/resident rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
- Orients patients/families to the unit and educates them on safety measures.
- Performs inventory management and maintains stock supply items.
- Communicates effectively with patients/families and healthcare team members.
- Adheres to infection control protocols and maintains a sterile environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I.
- BLS certification required.
- Physical ability to lift and support up to 35 pounds.
- Manual and finger dexterity.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of growth and development principles.
- Ability to communicate in English with good understanding.
- Access to and handling of protected health information (PHI).
Skills
- Basic computer skills for accessing and managing patient information.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Pay
$19.80 - $29.70 per hour, based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
Schedule
PT nights: 2-12-hour shifts per week with weekend and holiday requirements (2 Mondays, 2 Fridays, 2 Saturdays, and 2 Sundays in a 6-week period).
