About the role

The Neighborhood Retirement Community is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our Skilled Nursing team in Rio Rancho, NM. The CNA will provide quality care to residents under the supervision of the Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing in a high-acuity skilled nursing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including personal hygiene, medication administration, and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Assist with meal preparation and dietary needs.
• Monitor and report on resident health status and changes in condition.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning meetings.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and common areas.

Requirements

• Current licensure in good standing as a CNA in the applicable community state.
• Compassion and a desire to work with older adults.
• One year of experience as a Caregiver or CNA is strongly preferred.
• Physical ability to perform job tasks such as standing, walking, using hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Pass a criminal background check.
• Meet health requirements, including a TB test.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.

Pay

$18.00 - $23.62 per hour, with a shift differential of $1.25 per hour for On-call/PRN positions.

Schedule

Shifts available on a PRN/on-call basis.
