About the role
As a Senior Helpers of Spokane Caregiver, you make a lasting impact that betters the lives of our clients AND their families. Senior Helpers of Spokane caregivers provide one-on-one personal care to help our clients remain safe and independent in their home. We take care to fit your area of expertise and experience with the seniors you will care for.
Responsibilities
- Have fun and engaging conversations with clients to build relationships
- Participate in clients’ favorite hobbies (scrapbooking, gardening, games, etc.)
- Prep meals for clients
- Assist clients with walking, dressing, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Assist with toileting
- Provide medication reminders
- Report completed activities and provide updates on clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior
Requirements
- Compassionate and reliable attitude
- Passionate about helping others
- Enjoy customer service and communicating with clients
- Ability to pass background checks
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with current car insurance
Qualifications
Washington State Home Care Aides (HCA) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates with caregiving certifications may be eligible for a faster onboarding process and starting rate of pay.
Pay
$20–$24 per hour; depends on experience, certification, and tenure. Differentials for weekends, holidays, and couple’s care.
