Join NKC Health’s 40-bed Oncology-Hematology, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical unit. Our unit is Kansas City’s first to implement Aquablation, performing over 500 procedures and now training other hospitals in this cutting-edge technique. We are also home to a nationally recognized oncology program with a Commission on Cancer certification that underscores our commitment to excellence in care. Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, RN, LPN, play a vital role in the care of patients by performing basic nursing care and support tasks on assigned units.
• Provide patient care such as ambulation, bathing, toileting, obtaining vital signs, all while maintaining a safe environment.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills to accurately convey patient information to RN, LPN and other members of the team in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills to accurately record vital patient information.

Qualifications

• Experience: Hospital experience preferred.
• License/Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association) required; CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) required.
• Education: High School or Equivalent preferred.
