Responsibilities
- Care for the personal care and hygiene needs of patients in various healthcare settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, RNs, LPNs, and aides to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating, and nutritional intake.
- Absorb and assist with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises.
- Monitor vital signs, measure intake and output, check blood glucose levels, and document any changes.
- Observe patients and report any issues requiring changes in care, medication, or equipment to supervisors.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Michigan
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- A compassionate nature, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
