About the Role

We are seeking caring, compassionate, and dependable licensed CNAs to join our in-house therapy team at the beautiful Highland Park Rehabilitation Skilled Nursing facility in Aurora, Colorado. Our 110-bed facility houses a resident demographic from varying acuity, giving you the opportunity to assist in the betterment of all walks of life amongst those we steward. You will work in a skilled nursing environment, making a tremendous difference in the lives of your patients and helping them regain a quality of life.

Work Schedule & Pay

• Schedule: Full-time and PRN schedules available
• Pay Rate: $25.00 - $27.00 / hour depending on experience

Job Summary

A nursing assistant is responsible for providing routine nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures and as may be directed by the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses or Administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times, within their scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties as assigned and in accordance with facility's established policies and procedures, nursing care procedures and safety rules and regulations, within the scope of practice of a certified nursing assistant
• Support medical staff in administering care to patients with various injuries, illnesses and disabilities
• Help patients bathe and maintain proper hygiene
• Feed patients
• Provide continence care when needed
• Assess patients' vital signs to notify staff of any changes
• Assist in maintaining a clean, homelike environment
• Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice, from Nurse Management or NHA

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must possess a license as a certified nursing assistant
• Must possess a sincere desire to serve the elderly
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm
• Must be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning
• Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset individuals
