Responsibilities

• Provide routine nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, as may be directed by the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses or Administrator.
• Support medical staff in administering care to patients with various injuries, illnesses, and disabilities.
• Help patients bathe and maintain proper hygiene.
• Feed patients as needed.
• Provide continence care when necessary.
• Assess patients' vital signs and notify staff of any changes.
• Maintain a clean, homelike environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a license as a certified nursing assistant.
• Must have a sincere desire to serve the elderly.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
• Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on their current maturity levels.
• Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset individuals.

Pay

$22.00 - $26.50 / Hour depending on experience
