What you'll do
As a Caregiver with CareBuilders at Home of Solon, you'll provide compassionate, one-on-one care that allows clients to maintain their independence and quality of life.
- Personal care & daily living support: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance.
- Companionship & emotional support: Build meaningful connections through conversation, engagement, and companionship that brighten your clients' days.
- Culinary care: Prepare meals and snacks that are both nutritious and delicious, tailored to each client's tastes, preferences, and dietary needs.
- Creating a comfortable home: Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment through light housekeeping and household organization.
- Medication reminders: Provide medication reminders and observe for changes in clients' overall well-being.
- Transportation & errands: Assist with grocery shopping, appointments, and other community activities as needed.
- Observation & communication: Monitor client conditions and communicate changes or concerns to family members and the care team to ensure the highest quality of care.
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of professional caregiving, home care, healthcare, assisted living, or related experience.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions while working independently in clients' homes.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Physical ability to assist with client mobility, transfers, and light household tasks.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as required for assigned clients.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and complying with HIPAA and company privacy policies.
- Employees must provide documentation of a negative TB test completed within the past 12 months or complete TB screening as part of the pre-employment process before providing client care.
Standout qualifications
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities.
- Experience supporting clients living with Dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- CNA certification or other healthcare-related credentials.
