CNA - Assisted Living
John Knox Village is a not-for-profit Life Plan Retirement Community offering independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care to more than 1,000 residents. Our scenic 70-acre campus in Pompano Beach is conveniently located near major highways and transportation options.
About the role
As a CNA in Assisted Living, you will provide daily care, support, and meaningful engagement to residents while helping maintain a safe, comfortable, and home-like environment. You'll work closely with a strong, collaborative team and enjoy excellent staff-to-resident ratios that allow you to truly connect with the elders you serve. This role is ideal for someone who values dignity, compassion, and relationship-based care.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and assistance to residents in accordance with care plans
- Support meaningful life engagement and social interaction
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
- Uphold the values of dignity, respect, and person-centered care
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Current CNA license in the State of Florida
- 1+ years of experience in a long-term care or rehab environment
- Current BLS certification
- Passion for working with elders and enhancing their quality of life
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- This position is subject to Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida law
