About the role
As the Assistant Director of Nursing-Acute Care, you will oversee the operations of the Acute Care Registered Nurses and Ward Clerks at Franklin County Medical Center.
Responsibilities
- Makes or recommends necessary judgments with a patient’s individual needs in mind
- Establishes patient care goals and measures health outcomes against these goals and standards
- Teaches patients, family, and friends about their conditions and necessary medication and self-care skills
- Supervises and collaborates with other members of the nursing care team to ensure each patient’s needs are met
- Documents patient care
- Adheres to medication administration and storage procedures, controlled substance regulations, and infection control policies
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge
Requirements
- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Idaho or willing to obtain CNA within 120 days of hire
- Must be CPR-certified
- Must have a working knowledge of basic healthcare equipment
- Must be able to competently and positively work with residents, other employees, and the public
Qualifications
- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Idaho or willing to obtain CNA within 120 days of hire
- CPR-certified
- Working knowledge of basic healthcare equipment including wheelchairs, electrical beds, lift equipment, carts, scales, and vital sign analysis equipment
- Able to competently and positively work with residents, other employees, and the public
