About the role
NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a motivated CMT Project Manager to join our growing team in our Norcross, GA office (Atlanta metro area).
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate Construction Materials Testing, Special Inspections, and Geotechnical Engineering projects.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and technical consultation.
- Prepare proposals, budgets, scopes of work, and project deliverables.
- Review and manage field, laboratory, and geotechnical reports for accuracy and quality.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical oversight to inspectors, technicians, and junior staff.
- Coordinate project schedules, personnel, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Perform engineering evaluations, data analysis, and report reviews for commercial, industrial, transportation, governmental, retail, and residential projects.
- Support business development efforts and identify opportunities for growth with existing and prospective clients.
- Occasionally perform field inspections and site visits to support project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Five (5)+ years of experience in Construction Materials Testing (CMT), Special Inspections, Geotechnical Engineering, or related construction services.
- Demonstrated project coordination, leadership, supervisory, or project management experience.
- Strong understanding of construction materials testing, special inspections, and applicable building codes.
- Multiple ICC Special Inspector certifications highly desired.
- Previous experience serving as a Senior Inspector, Lead Inspector, Project Engineer, Construction Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and client relationship skills.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
