About the role

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is a seat at the executive table at Just Ingredients, a health and wellness e-commerce company. This role reports directly to the CEO and is one of the most closely partnered positions in the company.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the CEO and serve as the most closely partnered marketing leader in the company — operating with a high degree of trust, alignment, and shared ownership of the brand’s vision and growth trajectory.

  • Collaborate daily with the CEO on brand direction, messaging, educational content, podcast strategy, and the broader vision for how Just Ingredients communicates its mission and values to the world.

  • Translate the CEO’s vision and voice into scalable marketing strategies, content programs, and brand campaigns that resonate authentically with the Just Ingredients community.

  • Own and drive the company’s overall marketing vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with the CEO and executive leadership team.

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing marketing organization across brand, digital, social, paid media, partnerships, and retail — setting clear goals, accountability structures, and a culture of excellence.

  • Serve as the brand’s senior marketing voice in board, investor, and cross-functional executive conversations.

  • Establish and manage the full marketing budget, allocating resources with precision to maximize return across all channels and initiatives.

  • Define and own marketing KPIs, reporting cadences, and performance frameworks that keep the organization aligned and moving forward.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise across brand, digital, social, paid media, partnership marketing, and retail and wholesale channel development.

  • A proven track record of building loyal communities and driving meaningful revenue growth in the direct-to-consumer and CPG space.

  • Strong alignment with Just Ingredients’ mission and values.

  • Experience leading a high-performing marketing organization.

  • Ability to translate business objectives into integrated marketing strategies that deliver measurable growth across customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.

  • Strong chemistry and genuine alignment with the CEO’s vision and leadership style.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, with 5+ years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of building and scaling successful marketing strategies and campaigns.

  • Experience in developing and executing marketing programs across multiple channels.

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and technologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Passion for health and wellness and a commitment to Just Ingredients’ mission.

Benefits

Competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $225,000 to $275,000 (based on experience), health insurance, retirement benefits, and professional development opportunities.
