About the role
The role involves providing expert advice on health, safety, and environmental matters within a central or northern region of the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and implementing best practices.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on health, safety, and environmental matters
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices
- Conduct audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement training programs for staff
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to health, safety, and environmental management
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management
- Proven ability to lead and mentor teams
- Knowledge of relevant UK legislation and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety)
- Professional certifications in health, safety, and environmental management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH)
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective leadership and team management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
