About the role

The role involves providing expert advice on health, safety, and environmental matters within a central or northern region of the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and implementing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on health, safety, and environmental matters
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices
• Conduct audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement
• Develop and implement training programs for staff
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to health, safety, and environmental management

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management
• Proven ability to lead and mentor teams
• Knowledge of relevant UK legislation and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety)
• Professional certifications in health, safety, and environmental management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective leadership and team management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
