Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspections of production parts, first article samples, and engineering samples using CMM equipment.
- Program, operate, and troubleshoot CMM equipment as required.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications.
- Verify that parts conform to dimensional and quality requirements.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate inspection records.
- Identify and communicate nonconforming product to Quality, Engineering, and Production personnel.
- Support PPAP submissions, engineering sample runs, and new product launches.
- Perform routine calibration and verification of measuring equipment as required.
- Assist with gauge studies, measurement system analysis (MSA), and capability studies.
- Work with Production and Engineering to resolve dimensional quality concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Quality Lab and inspection equipment.
- Actively participate in JVIS's Health, Safety and Environmental activities to support a safe work environment.
- Maintain an acceptable attendance record to ensure timely work completion.
Qualifications
- Must have experience using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and precision measuring equipment.
- Must have knowledge of Quality Systems as relates to this job as described in the Quality System Manual and associated documents.
- Maintain compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.
