CMM Operator/Programmer

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate Zeiss CMM machines using appropriate software.
• Develop and optimize CMM inspection programs for new and existing parts.
• Perform detailed inspections and measurements, ensuring parts comply with specified tolerances and quality standards.
• Interpret and apply GD&T in inspection processes.
• Analyze measurement data, generate inspection reports, and document findings.
• Troubleshoot CMM programs, probe setups, and measurement discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection results, programs, and calibration activities.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the inspection process.
• Ensure all inspection activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A technical degree or certification in metrology, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience operating and programming CMMs in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with Zeiss CMM machines and Calypso software is strongly preferred.
• A strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and advanced inspection techniques.
• The ability to create, edit, and troubleshoot CMM programs independently.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex measurement data.
• A high attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
