Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate Zeiss CMM machines using appropriate software.
- Develop and optimize CMM inspection programs for new and existing parts.
- Perform detailed inspections and measurements, ensuring parts comply with specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Interpret and apply GD&T in inspection processes.
- Analyze measurement data, generate inspection reports, and document findings.
- Troubleshoot CMM programs, probe setups, and measurement discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results, programs, and calibration activities.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the inspection process.
- Ensure all inspection activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A technical degree or certification in metrology, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience operating and programming CMMs in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with Zeiss CMM machines and Calypso software is strongly preferred.
- A strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and advanced inspection techniques.
- The ability to create, edit, and troubleshoot CMM programs independently.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex measurement data.
- A high attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
