CMA (PRN)

About the role

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) position at Medcor is available on a PRN (as-needed) basis in an employer-based clinic setting in Yakima, Washington. The clinic provides basic primary and urgent care, along with treating workplace injuries. Hours are Monday-Thursday from 6:30am-4:30pm and Friday from 6:30am-10:30am. Compensation is $20-$22 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to clinic patients and Medcor's clients
• Schedule appointments, greet patients, manage clinic traffic, and conduct follow-up calls
• Record keeping and running reports using state-of-the-art electronic medical software
• Assist with clinical exams, procedures, and labs
• Conduct drug and alcohol tests
• Inventory and stock supplies
• Collaborate with clinic staff, client staff, and local medical providers

Requirements

• Valid Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification/Washington State)
• Valid BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Positive and outgoing personality
• Willingness to go above and beyond for excellent customer service
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a clinic environment
• Comfortable working with computers and familiarity with EMR software

Qualifications

• Must be a valid Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification/Washington State)
• Must have a valid BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Must have a positive and outgoing personality
• Must be willing to go above and beyond for excellent customer service
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a clinic environment
• Must be comfortable and productive working with computers; familiarity with EMR software is a plus
