About the role

UW Health Green Bay Specialty Clinic, in coordination with Prevea Health, is seeking a CMA/LPN to provide specialty‑care support for pediatric and some adult patients. This full‑time position works 40 hours per week and involves pre‑visit planning, rooming, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions, and both administrative and clinical tasks as directed by a medical provider.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient histories.
• Coordinate provider schedules and appointments, enter orders, and prepare patient charts.
• Instruct patients and families within scope of licensure or certification.
• Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in‑office procedures; prepare and administer medications/immunizations.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment to meet infection‑control standards.
• Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program or Practical Nursing program.
• Minimum of 160 hours of direct patient‑care experience as a MA/LPN obtained through professional work or completion of student clinical rotations.
• Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant (required).
• Current clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (preferred).

Skills

• Knowledge of principles and skills needed for a practical nurse or medical assistant to provide patient care.
• Familiarity with medical equipment and instruments used in patient care.
• Understanding of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe work environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to foster work and patient relationships.
• Ability to work under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands.

Schedule

Full‑time, 40 hours per week.
