About the role

Medical Associates is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant, LPN, or RN to join their growing team in the Nephrology department at the East Campus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with injections
  • Manage triage
  • Provide direct patient care
  • Collect pertinent patient health care data
  • Diagnostic testing, treatments, and review medical records
  • Confer with physician/mid-level providers
  • General office duties including obtaining and updating patient demographic and insurance information
  • Scheduling and coordinating appointments
  • Creating lab orders
  • Collaborate with health care team according to plan of care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, and others
  • Promote patient wellness and provide patient education
  • Document care provided
  • Facilitate reimbursement of services provided
  • Maintain a safe, neat, organized, and supplied office environment
  • Ensure equipment is functioning safely and properly
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of equipment
  • Facilitate other additional duties of patient care
  • Participate in devising systems to improve quality and efficiency of patient care and workflow
  • Complete assigned projects and duties

Qualifications

  • No previous Nephrology experience required - training provided

Skills

  • Keyboarding skills and use of electronic equipment
  • Use and operate a wide variety of diagnostic and medical equipment
  • Use personal protection safety equipment including gloves, lab coats, gowns, goggles, and face masks/shields
