CMA/LPN/RN - Internal Medicine - Ankeny Prairie Trail
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate clinical professional to join our team at UnityPoint Clinic CMA/LPN/RN Internal Medicine - Prairie Trail in Ankeny, IA. This position is open to Certified Medical Assistants (CMA), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), or Registered Nurses (RN). The role involves providing support in patient care, assisting with exams, treatments, and patient education. Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures
- Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure
- Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care
- Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
Qualifications
- Valid and current licensure/certification in one of the following:
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Active/Unencumbered RN license in state of practice or compact license including state of practice
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Active/Unencumbered LPN license in state of practice or compact license including state of practice
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through accredited programs and certifying bodies (e.g., National Healthcare Association, American Association of Medical Assistants, etc.)
- Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC is a plus
Schedule
Monday-Friday - 4 days 7AM-5PM, 1 half day 7AM-12PM
About the Role
Full-time position with benefits, located in Ankeny, IA. Team members may be required to work at or float to other UnityPoint Clinic locations to support optimized staffing.
