About the role
A CMA is under the direct supervision of the charge nurse.
Responsibilities
- Follows up with the CMA to ensure the med pass is completed timely and accurately.
- Ensures the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times.
- Reports promptly any change of patient condition or other concerns to Patient Care Supervisor.
- Follows charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
- Reports medication reorder.
- Participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, education and in-service as required.
- Inventory documentation of drugs on appropriate forms.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively in English through both speech and writing.
- Previous patient care experience preferred.
- Current certification for Medication Aide.
