Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders, state regulations, and community policies
  • Accurately document medication administration and maintain medication records
  • Observe residents for changes in condition and report concerns to the nurse or leadership team
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, and mobility as needed
  • Support residents during meals and ensure proper nutrition and hydration
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
  • Communicate effectively with caregivers, nurses, and leadership regarding resident care needs
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times
  • Provide compassionate support and redirection for residents experiencing dementia-related behaviors
  • Promote resident dignity, comfort, and quality of life

Qualifications

  • Certified Medication Aide (CMA/CMT) certification in good standing
  • Experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care preferred
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Compassion, patience, and a passion for caring for individuals living with dementia
  • Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced caregiving environment
