Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain patient records.
- Perform a wide variety of clinical nursing support tasks, such as prepping patients for exams, performing basic lab tests, and obtaining medical histories.
- Assist physician or other healthcare team members with completing treatment/protocol.
- Perform simple, non-invasive patient procedures according to applicable policy and/or protocol.
- Perform various clerical and/or lab duties as requested.
- Respond to the unique needs of all patients ages newborn through geriatric.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Currently certified as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) required. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of employment.
