Position summary

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) delivers quality care consistent within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state. The CMA assumes responsibility and accountability for the quality of care delivered during work hours; works to ensure a safe environment for themselves, the patient and other staff members.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality care within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state
• Assume responsibility and accountability for the quality of care delivered during work hours
• Ensure a safe environment for themselves, the patient and other staff members

Requirements

• Current and valid CMA certificate
• Works in accordance with local practice acts and regulations
• Functions to other competent nursing personnel appropriate to their scope of practice

Preferred experience

• Experience in Correctional or behavioral health settings
