About the Role
Join a compassionate, collaborative team dedicated to helping patients achieve lasting health through comprehensive obesity medicine. As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you'll be a vital part of creating an exceptional patient experience from check-in to follow-up care, working alongside Nurse Practitioners, Registered Dietitians, Behavioral Health Therapists, and Exercise Specialists.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and prepare patients for appointments by collecting vital signs, medical histories, and updating records
- Perform point-of-care testing, venipuncture, and Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) assessments
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Assist providers with medication refill requests and communicating lab results
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
- Provide front desk support and scheduling assistance when needed
- Follow infection prevention standards and assist with emergency response protocols
- Help create a positive, compassionate experience that keeps patients engaged in their care
Requirements
- Current CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification through AAMA, NHA, or AMT
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a busy medical office
- Positive attitude and commitment to outstanding patient care
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support your teammates
Work Environment
This position is based in a medical office setting. Team members should be comfortable standing for extended periods, using standard medical and office equipment, and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds.
