Job Summary We're looking for a Data Engineer to own the ETL and data pipelines for a product squad that builds personalized care plans. The squad includes about 10 data scientists. Together they combine large amounts of member data to identify people for care management and recommend a care plan to clinical partners. You'll build the pipelines that power that research. The right person enjoys building pipelines every day, works independently, and keeps improving what's already built when there's no new work to pick up. Key Responsibilities Design, build and maintain ETL pipelines in Python and SQL that bring together a wide range of healthcare data sourcesOwn the squad's data infrastructure from start to finish, making sure data is reliable, timely and ready for the data scientists to model withContinuously optimize, tune and improve existing pipelines for performance, cost and data qualityWork closely with the data scientists to understand their data needs and turn them into scalable pipelinesFind and bring in new data sources that support care plan researchUse AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude Code, in your day-to-day engineering work Requirements 5+ years of data engineering experienceStrong Python and SQL skillsProven experience building and maintaining production ETL pipelinesHighly self-directed, and able to find and drive improvements without direct instructionComfortable working in a fast-moving team that works closely with the businessMust be located in the US Preferred Qualifications Experience with healthcare data, such as claims, clinical or member data (strongly preferred)GCP experience, especially BigQuery (AWS or Azure is fine)Experience with MongoDBExperience supporting data science or machine learning teamsExperience with AI coding assistants Benefits Long-term contract with work planned into 2027100% remoteA high-visibility team building AI products that make a real difference in patient care
