About the role
The Cool Clubs Fitter at Golfdom is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy—putting the customer first and ensuring a memorable, positive experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform golf club fittings for a wide range of players, including high-handicap customers, better amateurs, VIP guests, and tour players.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service, including processing transactions via POS system.
- Assist with floor moves, housekeeping, display maintenance, and merchandise replenishment.
- Suggest process improvements once fully trained.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Club Fitting
- Own all aspects of the club fitting process (customer service, technology, sales).
- Fit customers using the good/better/best process and make proper club recommendations.
- Accurately document fitting information in fitting software.
Follow Through
- Remain in contact with customers during the build process as needed.
- Collaborate with builders on fitting/building challenges.
- Address and resolve customer concerns promptly.
Order Tracking
- Fluently use the order tracking system.
- Enter all orders and pertinent information into the system upon placement.
- Provide order updates to customers as needed.
- Update the system for pick-ups, notes, etc.
Club Repair
- Perform loft and lie adjustments for customers.
- Re-grip clubs for store customers when able.
- Assist the build shop with light club repair.
Front of House
- Greet customers entering the store.
- Answer phones and manage personal voicemail.
- Book fittings and help manage the fitting calendar.
- Assist with managing the pick-up closet.
- Maintain general store cleanliness.
Other Duties
- Maintain high product and industry knowledge, including new technologies and products.
- Keep individual desk clean and organized.
- Follow all safety protocols and equipment guidelines.
Requirements
- Knowledge of golf equipment and shafts.
- Understanding of ideal golf ball launch characteristics.
- General knowledge of club repair.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and POS systems.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with TrackMan or similar launch monitor technology.
- Retail sales experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Excellent time management and phone etiquette skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $16.00 - $22.00 per hour plus commission. Individual starting rate within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
