Club Cook 3

Key Responsibilities

• Aid in setting up/preparing culinary programs for the season and daily operations.
• Set up assigned station with predetermined mise en place for service readiness.
• Prepare food items for various outlets according to designated menus/recipes.
• Cook food items following recipes, quality, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
• Show safe and proper use of all equipment, ensuring correct appliance and food temperatures.
• Ensure maximum productivity and minimize kitchen waste through efficient production.
• Maintain food quality and presentation throughout preparation.
• Stock and rotate inventory, alerting Sous Chef of low stock items.
• Manage food order pacing and set the tone for ticket flow.
• Peel and chop vegetables, prepare cuts of meat, fillet and debone fish, and put away deliveries.
• Clean stations and equipment, and other areas as necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational training with job-related courses (preferred).
• At least 1 year of line/prep cook experience in fine dining restaurants, luxury resorts, or private clubs.
• Familiarity with a variety of cooking techniques.
• Understanding and adherence to federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation regulations, including state-required food handler certificates.

• Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to handle long hours due to business needs.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
• Fluency in English; additional languages preferred.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in various weather conditions.
