About the role

The RN Nurse Trainer at Envision Unlimited supports individuals in host family residences across Tinley Park and Aurora, IL, overseeing client health and safety, monitoring medication programs, and providing training to caregivers and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and address the medical, health, and safety needs of clients in host family residences.
  • Maintain and review client medication regimes, including medication records, orders, bubble packs, and MARs.
  • Conduct caregiver and staff medication training as well as skills observation on an ongoing basis.
  • Respond to all telephone calls, emails, and messages 24/7 and provide appropriate nursing/medical directions as needed.

Requirements

  • Current license from the State of Illinois as a Registered Nurse.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably with one year working with the developmental disabilities' population.
  • Able to obtain a DHS Nurse Trainer Certificate within three months of employment.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably with one year working with the developmental disabilities' population.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current license from the State of Illinois as a Registered Nurse, CPR Certification.
  • Training: Able to obtain a DHS Nurse Trainer Certificate within three months of employment.

Pay

$90,000 salary

Schedule
