CLS Team Lead
About the Role
Serve as a mentor to assist in the orientation and training of newly hired staff and Team Leads. In coordination with the Operations Manager and QIDP, train and coach Director Support Professionals in their role and expectations as professionals providing services and support to people with Intellectual and developmental disabilities. Role model and instruct DSPs using community-based learning initiatives and positive behavioral approaches.
Support the agency’s mission, vision, values, and strategic plan philosophy. Manage all responsibilities based on the agency's mission, using individual choice, and all appropriate policies, procedures, and regulations. Conduct oneself in a way that reflects the highest standards of professional courtesy and ethical practices to people served, staff, guardians, families, and all outside contacts.
Work may occur in the following settings: Home, Office, Classroom, Group Homes, or Community.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID
- One year of experience with persons with Developmental disabilities
- Experience and skills in Team Building
- Skill in coaching and training adult learners
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization
Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking and sitting
- Regular reaching, grasping, and standing
- Other physical activities related to an office environment
- Operates general office equipment, including multi-line phone, fax machine, printer, copier, and personal computer
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
