About the role
The position involves performing waived, moderate, and high complexity testing in an Immunogenetics and transplantation (HLA) laboratory. It also includes evaluating test results, conducting quality control procedures, maintaining equipment, and providing customer service.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates test results and performs quality control procedures.
- Performs preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
- Provides laboratory services in a timely manner and consistently delivers excellent customer service.
- Serves as a technical resource for customers and other staff members.
- Adheres to all safety policies and practices.
- Performs other related CLS functions as required.
Requirements
- Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license or limited CLS license in Histocompatibility.
- Applicable clinical laboratory experience.
- One (1) year of professional-level experience in an accredited HLA laboratory.
- Certification by the American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI) as a Certified Histocompatibility Technologist (CHT) or ACHI Certified Histocompatibility Specialist (CHS).
- Certification as a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, MT(ASCP).
- Experience with various HLA testing methodologies such as HLA genotyping by NGS/RT-PCR/SSO/SSP, flow crossmatch, Single Antigen Bead assay, Flow PRA, etc.
Qualifications

Annual Full Pay Range: $110,079 - $145,408 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
