Cloud Systems Analyst

About the role

This position is open to U.S. Citizens and permanent residents, located in Austin, Texas, and requires 2 or more days per week in the local office. The role involves working under the supervision of the IT Manager, performing complex computer system analysis work, including planning, analyzing, and designing user requirements, test plans and scripts, procedures, utility programs, charts, diagrams, tables, and flowcharts.

Responsibilities

• Supporting complex systems to meet customer needs, including analyzing production problems, problem-solving, and ongoing maintenance and enhancements to both software and hardware.
• Preparing and implementing test plans and scripts to ensure quality products or modifications are implemented.
• Adequately training other technical support staff or customers in the successful modifications or implementation to software systems.
• Designing and/or coding complex new programs or modifying existing programs, as well as code deployments, server monitoring, and maintenance.
• Analyzing and remediating application and server vulnerabilities.
• Developing, submitting, and maintaining necessary documents according to the Project Management Life Cycle, System Development Life Cycle, and Governance Processes.
• Evaluating existing and proposed computer applications to verify business requirements, system requirements, and equipment configurations are considered.
• Using initiative and independent judgment to identify needs and opportunities to improve business processes through automation, consolidation, efficiency, and providing possible solutions.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Software Developer, or similar role within Information Technology (IT).
• Experience with Cloud systems, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and Linux is desired.
• Experience in providing customer support, demonstrating a deep understanding of customer needs and a commitment to resolving issues promptly and effectively.
• Experience in utilizing ticketing systems to manage and prioritize customer inquiries, incidents, and service requests.
• Experience in documenting support interactions, troubleshooting steps, and solutions for future reference.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including technical support, development, and other teams.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of technical approaches used to deliver IT products and services to large client organizations, as well as knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and its practical application and use. They will also have skills in communicating with both customers and development teams, writing complex software/utility programs for computer applications, and estimating project timelines.

Skills

• Soft skills, including personality, relationship-building, communication, and stress management.
• Ability to read, interpret, analyze existing program code, and make recommendations for improvement or replacement if required.
• Experience with GitHub/Gitlab, Dynatrace, database tools, including DBeaver and pgAdmin, and Agile development methodologies.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $5,797.66 - $8,500.00 per month.

Schedule

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours a week, with the possibility of working outside of regular hours. The selected candidate must be willing to commute to the office on the required days.
